Why do I want to bail someone out of jail?

The judicial process is very slow. When someone is arrested we post their bond so that they can get back to work and move on with their normal life.

How much does a bail cost?

Typically the bail bond fee is 10%. We offer the most affordable rates allowed by law. Everyone’s situation is unique & we will set up a plan that will work for you. We offer 0% interest for payment plans in good standing. Discounts are available for senior citizens, union members, military, & attorney referrals.

What happens if a defendant misses court?

We will give the defendant a court date when they are released from custody. The defendant is required to make all court appointments. If they do miss the defendant has 180 days to get back into custody or pay the full amount of the bail bond.

What are my responsibilities as a co-signer?

As a co-signer you are liable for the full amount of the bail bond if the defendant misses court. In the event that the defendant misses court you have 160 days to get them back in jail or pay the full amount of the bail bond. In addition the co-signer is responsible for any costs incurred from the search and arrest of a defendant that misses court.

Do I have to put up collateral?

Everyone’s situation is different and collateral is not required for everyone. Usually a signature from someone with good credit will get the defendant out of jail.

What are my responsibilities as a defendant?

It is the defendant’s responsibility to appear in court every time until the case is solved by either sentencing or dismissal. In addition the defendant is responsible to notify the bail bondsman of any changes in address or phone number.

Do I get my money back after the case is resolved?

Anytime you pay a premium to a bail bondsman the payment is non refundable. You are contracting the bondsman to have the defendant released from custody. Once the defendant walks out of jail the bondsman has fully earned the premium.
